Job Overview

The Engineered Materials Group is seeking a dedicated professional in continuous improvement to become a vital part of its Leadership team. The selected Quality Assurance Manager will guide a team of inspectors, technicians, and coordinators in our pursuit of achieving Zero Defects while ensuring top-tier on-time delivery for our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Effectively communicate customer, regulatory, and organizational standards to ensure product quality and contract compliance.
  • Oversee the comprehensive documentation and execution of the quality management system to guarantee adherence to customer and regulatory standards, as well as corporate policies.
  • Collaborate with the leadership team to ensure that all personnel involved in quality-related functions are adequately trained and demonstrate the necessary skills and performance outcomes.
  • Coordinate plant personnel for internal, customer, and third-party quality system audits.
  • Maintain a corrective action system to analyze and rectify nonconforming conditions and customer complaints.
  • Implement performance metrics to effectively assess organizational performance and trends in product quality, customer satisfaction, and the costs associated with poor quality.
  • Utilize performance evaluation results to direct improvement initiatives.
  • Evaluate supplier capabilities and monitor supplier quality to ensure optimal performance levels.
Qualifications

Education: B.S. Degree in an engineering or related field.

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in quality, engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Familiarity with International Standard ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems (QS-9000 applicable to the automotive sector).
  • Understanding of manufacturing and quality practices.
  • Experience with quality improvement methodologies and tools (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma, Statistical Process Control, and Failure Mode & Effects Analysis).
  • Proven leadership, project management, facilitation, and problem-solving capabilities. Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential.
