Software Quality Assurance Engineer

Job Summary:
The Software Quality Assurance Engineer will be responsible for developing and executing software test plans to identify software problems and their causes. This role will involve designing test plans, scenarios, and scripts, as well as testing system modifications and documenting software defects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop comprehensive test plans and test cases based on product requirements, specifications, and user stories.
- Perform manual and automated testing of software applications, including functional, integration, regression, performance, security, and usability testing.
- Develop, maintain, and execute automated test scripts using appropriate tools and frameworks to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the testing process.
- Log, track, and manage defects identified during testing, ensuring they are accurately documented, prioritized, and communicated to the development team for resolution.
- Collaborate closely with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to understand product requirements, provide feedback on design and implementation, and ensure that quality is embedded throughout the development process.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, or relevant field.
- 5-7 years of experience in software quality assurance or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of software development methodologies, including Agile and Scrum.
- Experience with automated testing tools and frameworks, such as Jmeter and Azure Devops.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
Working Conditions:
This is a full-time position with a 12-month contract. The candidate must be a W2 employee and authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
