Job Summary

Cedar Crest Hospital & RTC is seeking a skilled Mental Health Therapist to join our team. As a Therapist, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality psychotherapeutic services to individuals and families, focusing on the diagnosis and treatment of emotional and behavioral disorders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive psychosocial assessments to identify patient needs and develop individualized treatment plans.
  • Deliver evidence-based psychotherapeutic interventions to patients, including individual, group, and family therapy sessions.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless care coordination and optimal patient outcomes.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of patient services, adhering to facility and professional standards.
  • Manage a caseload of patients, prioritizing their needs and providing timely interventions.
  • Participate in treatment team meetings, contributing to the development of comprehensive treatment plans.
  • May provide services in inpatient or outpatient settings, adapting to the needs of patients and the facility.
  • Perform case management, discharge planning, and aftercare planning as needed, ensuring a smooth transition for patients.
  • Exhibit a positive, empathetic, and professional attitude towards patients, addressing complaints and concerns in a timely and respectful manner.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or a related Human Services field.
  • One or more years of experience working with a comparable patient population.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Requisite state or national licensure for professional therapy providers or eligibility for state licensure.
  • CPR and de-escalation/restraint certification (training available upon hire and offered by the facility).
  • First aid certification may be required based on state or facility requirements.
