Outpatient Mental Health Therapist

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Outpatient Mental Health Therapist to join our team at Georgetown Behavioral Health Institute. As a Per Diem Therapist, you will provide evening therapy services and support to our patients, working collaboratively with our interdisciplinary treatment team.
Key Responsibilities- Provide individual and group therapy sessions to adult, adolescent, and child patients
- Develop and implement comprehensive treatment plans in conjunction with the treatment team
- Apply sound Cognitive Behavioral Theory and methodology in your practice
- Contribute to discharge planning and ensure a smooth transition for patients
- Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion
- Master's Degree in a relevant field (e.g., social work, counseling, marriage and family therapy, psychology)
- Licenses: LMSW, LCSW, LPC-I, LPC Required
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a healthcare field or combination of education and experience
- Inpatient psychiatric experience preferred
- Excellent communication, assessment, evaluation, and interpretation skills
- Knowledge of psychiatric and addictive disease diagnoses and treatment
- Flexibility, teaching or training skills, and understanding of DSM-IIIR methodology
- Advanced knowledge and clinical skills in diagnosis and treatment of mental health
- Knowledgeable of patient rights and laws pertaining to mental health

- Stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, stand for sustained periods, walk, pull, lift, raise, and move objects (up to 50 lbs)
- Finger grasp, feel sizes, shapes, temperatures, and textures
- Express or exchange ideas orally and potentially loudly, accurately, or quickly
- Visually detect, determine, perceive, identify, recognize, judge, observe, inspect, assess
- Perceive the nature of sound with or without correction
- Perform repetitive motions of the wrist, hands, or fingers
