Receptionist Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Receptionist to join our team at Regency Health & Rehabilitation Center, a 60-bed skilled rehabilitation facility in Yorktown. As a Receptionist, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional customer service to our visitors, patients, and staff.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Visitor Services: Greet and welcome visitors, direct them to the appropriate areas, and announce their arrival.
  • Phone and Mail Management: Answer and screen incoming phone calls, provide basic information, and forward calls to the relevant departments. Receive and sort daily mail, deliveries, and couriers.
  • Security and Access Control: Maintain security by following procedures and controlling access to the facility. Monitor the logbook and issue visitor badges as needed.
  • Scheduling and Administration: Update appointment calendars, schedule meetings and appointments, and perform other clerical duties such as filing, photocopying, and faxing.
Requirements:
  • Experience: Proven working experience in similar roles, preferably in a healthcare setting.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and able to learn new software applications quickly.
  • Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a professional appearance and demeanor.
  • Problem-Solving and Adaptability: Ability to be resourceful and proactive in dealing with issues that may arise, and to prioritize tasks and work under pressure.
