Strategic Financial Advisory Associate

As a specialized investment banking firm, MUFG Americas delivers M&A, capital raising, and strategic advisory services to entrepreneurs, family-owned businesses, private equity firms, and large corporations. Our dedicated banking teams possess extensive industry knowledge and over thirty years of experience.
The selected candidate will work primarily at MUFG offices or client locations, with a flexible remote work arrangement. More details will be provided by our recruitment team.
Full-time position available, pending successful completion of educational requirements.
MUFG Americas is looking to recruit talented individuals for its Analyst program. A majority of positions will be based at our headquarters, with limited opportunities in other locations.
Key Responsibilities
- Conducting in-depth client and industry research
- Managing, reviewing, and analyzing due diligence documentation
- Creating valuation models and analyses (including projections, LBO, DCF, public comparables, and historical M&A transactions)
- Preparing detailed information packages, pitchbooks, information memoranda, management presentations, and marketing collateral
- Compiling lists of potential acquirers
- Supporting senior bankers in firm development initiatives (training, recruitment, etc.)
Qualifications
- 0-3 years of experience in sell-side M&A advisory or investment banking (internships are beneficial)
- Exceptional academic achievements from a prestigious institution
- Collaborative team player eager to contribute to MUFG's growth
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- High level of maturity and ability to work within a small team
- Self-motivated individual ready to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment
- Understanding of accounting and corporate finance principles, along with financial statement analysis
- Must be authorized to work in the United States on a permanent basis without requiring visa sponsorship
Compensation and Benefits
The typical base salary for this role is competitive, with potential eligibility for performance-based bonuses and incentives.
