Candidate Profile:
We seek an accomplished Information Operations (IO) professional with a comprehensive grasp of the Information Environment (IE) intricacies.
You excel in collaborative settings, effectively engaging with Combatant Command (CCMD) and Unified Command personnel, alongside joint, interagency, intergovernmental, and multinational (JIIM) partners.
Your strengths lie in mission analysis, innovative problem-solving, and the strategic application of information-related capabilities (IRC) to drive operational success. You possess a strategic outlook, adept at integrating intelligence community insights and pioneering concepts to counter adversarial information tactics.
With a strong aptitude for reviewing, analyzing, and implementing directives, you guide tactical and operational planning, ensuring that measures of performance (MOP) and effectiveness (MOE) are consistently achieved.
Your work reflects a profound awareness of cultural sensitivities and a steadfast commitment to security, accreditation, and risk management throughout all planning and execution phases.

Your role will significantly enhance mission success and operational effectiveness through your extensive knowledge in Information Operations (IO).
As a key advisor, you will facilitate the seamless integration and synchronization of IO efforts across CCMD staff, subordinate units, and JIIM partners.
Your ability to conduct comprehensive mission analysis, devise innovative strategies, and apply creative problem-solving will be instrumental in countering adversarial actions within the Information Environment (IE).
Your contributions will also encompass the operationalization of IO-related directives, where your guidance will be vital in refining tactical and operational plans.
By monitoring and evaluating performance (MOP) and effectiveness (MOE), you will provide actionable insights that drive continuous improvement and ensure mission objectives are met.
Through your strategic vision, attention to cultural nuances, and commitment to security and risk management, you will play a crucial role in shaping successful outcomes in complex, multi-dimensional operational environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as an IO functional expert and action officer, providing strategic and theater planning support at the COCOM level.
- Deliver briefings to senior leadership and conduct meetings with various stakeholders as necessary.
- Facilitate coordination between the SOUTHCOM J39 and other internal and external agencies.
- Support the development of IO strategies, guidance, and concepts of operations (CONOP), ensuring all documentation is prepared accurately and on time.
- Assist in the communication of current IO, OPSEC, and MISO policies and best practices to unified commands and subordinate staff.
- Compile and report data to measure the performance of all IO programs and activities.
- Prepare necessary documentation, including information papers, decision papers, and briefings, to support the IO mission.
- Coordinate IO efforts with other COCOMs and DOD supporting agencies.
- Support the integration of DOD Rewards Program into IO plans and activities.
- Assist in the planning and execution of Electronic Warfare (EW) activities for exercises and real-world contingencies.
