Job Description

Carolina Therapeutic Services is seeking a highly skilled Human Resources Generalist to join our team. As a key member of our HR department, you will play a critical role in supporting the daily functions of the organization and enforcing policies and practices.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in human resources, with experience in recruitment, staffing, training, employment policies, benefits, and payroll administration. You will be responsible for maintaining employee confidence and protecting employee data by ensuring information is secure and confidential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supports the full recruiting cycle, including working with hiring managers, posting jobs, screening applications, identifying candidates, coordinating interviews, and facilitating hiring qualified applicants.
  • Coordinates on-boarding for new staff, including scheduling and assisting with new hire orientation meetings, preparing and reviewing new hire documentation.
  • Develops, implements, coordinates, and oversees training programs.
  • Maintains organization policies and procedures to ensure compliance and reduce regulatory concerns.
  • Assists in ensuring new staff have the supplies, equipment, and tools needed to be successful in their roles, including creating "how-to" documentation.
  • Coordinates employee performance reviews with department leaders.
  • Coordinates off-boarding for exiting staff, including exit interviews, collection of company property, and transferring records/documents.
  • Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute human resources programs, including compensation & payroll, benefits and leave, disciplinary matters, disputes and investigations, performance and talent management, productivity, recognition and morale, occupational health and safety, and training and development.
  • Supports benefits administration, including PTO balances and usage.
  • Assists with updating and maintaining policies and procedures.
  • Supports maintaining compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations and suggests best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
  • Assists with regular all-staff meetings, including quarterly in-person gatherings.
  • Assists and supports the finance team with required documentation for reporting to appropriate federal, state, and local entities, or any organizational boards, committees, or leaders.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration, or similar field required, from an accredited higher educational institution.
  • 2+ years progressive experience in human resources.
  • PHR, or similar designation a plus.
  • 1 year experience in nonprofit operations preferred.
  • Experience working with HRISs and ATSs. Paylocity HRIS, Care Cloud, and ATS are preferred. Vairkko experience is a plus.
  • Essential knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations.
  • Ability to act with integrity and professionalism and manage confidential information.
  • Inquisitive, creative problem-solver, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; and proficiency in English.
  • Organized and detail-oriented with the ability to be self-directed and motivated.
  • Strong time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Proficient in Microsoft 365 products, SharePoint, and virtual meeting platforms.
  • Supportive and understanding of DEIB significance in organizations.
