Overview

As a Personal Banker at Academy Bank, you will play a crucial role in fostering relationships with clients by understanding and promoting our diverse range of banking products and services. Your commitment to delivering an exceptional client experience will be key as you conduct precise banking transactions in a dynamic environment while collaborating with your team to meet both individual and collective objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Meet and exceed defined sales targets on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis by engaging in the bank's sales cycle. This includes identifying potential clients, recommending suitable products based on their needs, and ensuring the seamless delivery of consumer and small business banking services.
  • Enhance existing client relationships by actively seeking referrals and expanding business opportunities, aiming to secure the entirety of each client's banking needs.
  • Provide exemplary service that aligns with Academy Bank's standards, which includes resolving client issues, nurturing relationships, and accommodating special requests.
  • Exhibit digital proficiency by utilizing our online platforms and educating clients about our digital offerings, such as online banking, mobile apps, and other digital tools.
  • Perform operational tasks to service clients while ensuring compliance with company policies, banking regulations, and departmental procedures.
  • Safeguard all client and bank information, adhering strictly to confidentiality protocols and company policies.
  • Embrace and communicate the mission, vision, and values of Academy Bank, embodying our Pillars of Success.
  • Complete mandatory training promptly to stay informed about banking regulations, policies, and procedures.
  • Maintain a presence at the workplace during standard business hours and/or assigned shifts.
  • Undertake additional responsibilities as assigned.

Compensation and Benefits

The Personal Banker position offers a competitive starting salary, with opportunities for additional incentive compensation based on performance metrics. Full-time associates are eligible for a comprehensive benefits package, which includes:

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • A minimum of 1 year of relevant work experience is necessary.
  • At least 6 months of sales and customer service experience is preferred.
  • Prior banking experience is advantageous.
  • Experience in cash handling for a minimum of 6 months is preferred.

Physical Requirements

This role is typically situated in a standard office or retail banking environment. It involves frequent periods of sitting and standing, along with mobility around the workspace. Tasks may require reaching and the ability to operate office equipment, including computers and telephones. Effective communication skills are essential for conveying information to clients and colleagues.
