Compensation and Benefits Specialist

JOB PURPOSE:
Assist in the management of the Benefits division within Human Resources. Conduct reconciliations and audits of vendor invoices related to employee benefits, ensuring all necessary adjustments are made in the HRIS and vendor systems. Generate monthly, quarterly, and annual reports for various benefits-related metrics. Aid in upholding compliance with benefit plans.
ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Review billing statements, invoices, and related documents for precision.
- Process vendor invoices and facilitate payment submissions.
- Resolve discrepancies, while updating, auditing, and testing files as required.
- Serve as a liaison between the company and all benefit service providers, carriers, and internal stakeholders regarding billing matters.
- Communicate effectively with leadership regarding quality and regulatory concerns to ensure compliance and process integrity.
- Provide analytical insights and generate ad-hoc reports.
- Identify opportunities for improvement and propose solutions for ongoing enhancements.
- Deliver outstanding and prompt customer service when addressing inquiries and issues.
- Exhibit strong analytical capabilities and knowledge pertinent to reconciliations and audits.
- Support the annual Open Enrollment process, including participation in employee meetings and HRIS configuration.
- Act as a backup for other Benefits personnel.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned.
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources is preferred.
EXPERIENCE: At least 5 years of experience in invoice reconciliation and audits, with a strong preference for experience in employee benefits invoicing. Proficient analytical and problem-solving skills are essential. Advanced Excel skills are required.
ATTENDANCE: Must maintain regular and acceptable attendance as determined by the employer.
LICENSES: Valid driver’s license with a clean record.
VEHICLE: Must have daily access to a vehicle without prior notice.
OTHER: Willingness to travel to various locations as needed by the business.
TRAVEL: Must be available and willing to travel as required by business needs.
