The Culinary Operations Manager will be responsible for supervising and mentoring staff in all facets of restaurant management, with a particular emphasis on kitchen personnel and operations.

This role embodies and exemplifies the mission, vision, and values of Famous Dave's. The Culinary Operations Manager will identify, support, and implement strategies to meet objectives related to personnel, sales, and profitability.

In this position, the manager ensures that all company standard operating procedures and practices are followed, while also confirming adherence to all relevant laws and regulations.


Key Responsibilities:

Education and Experience:

  • High School diploma or equivalent is required.
  • A 2 or 4 year degree in restaurant management, hospitality, culinary arts, or a minimum of 3 years of experience in restaurant management is preferred.
  • Internal promotion: Successful completion of the Management Training Program.
  • Experience in both front-of-house and back-of-house management is advantageous.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Proven strong communication skills (verbal, written, and presentation).
  • Ability to collaborate with a diverse range of individuals at all levels of the organization, both internally and externally.
  • Proven leadership capabilities.
  • Results-driven approach.
  • Proficient in problem-solving and decision-making within defined authority.
  • Strong safety awareness.
  • Knowledge of P&L, budgeting, and inventory management.
  • Familiarity with technology (MS Office, KDS, business systems).
  • Possession of a valid driver's license.
  • Working knowledge of labor laws, health regulations, safe food handling, sanitation, alcohol safety, security systems and procedures, and computer operations is preferred.
