POSITION SUMMARY

The Culinary Operations Manager will oversee the culinary services at Epath's facilities, ensuring that our kitchen operations are efficient and effective in providing nutritious meals to our clients. This role requires strong leadership skills and a passion for culinary excellence.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Staff Management & Development

  • Supervise culinary staff and manage all kitchen activities.
  • Develop and implement staff schedules, including volunteer coordination.
  • Conduct performance reviews and facilitate team meetings.
  • Manage payroll and timesheet processes for kitchen personnel.

Leadership & Client Engagement

  • Collaborate with program managers to ensure high-quality meal services.
  • Assist in training and mentoring kitchen staff.
  • Promote a positive and professional environment for all guests and staff.
  • Work with clients to accommodate dietary restrictions and preferences.

Kitchen Administration & Compliance

  • Design and post monthly meal plans.
  • Monitor kitchen expenses and maintain inventory levels.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Maintain relationships with suppliers and manage food donations.

Kitchens Standards & Maintenance

  • Ensure kitchen cleanliness and sanitation meet regulatory standards.
  • Oversee maintenance of kitchen equipment and facilities.
  • Coordinate regular maintenance and repairs with relevant teams.

Food Preparation & Quality Control

  • Ensure all meals are prepared according to health guidelines.
  • Conduct quality checks to maintain high culinary standards.

QUALIFICATIONS

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A strong background in culinary management with at least 5 years of experience.
  • A current Managerial Food Handling certification.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Excel.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • A commitment to providing quality service in a high-pressure environment.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Must be flexible with work hours, including evenings and weekends.
  • Must provide proof of COVID-19 vaccination.
  • Must pass background checks and health screenings as required.
