Medical Case Manager

CorVel Corporation is seeking a skilled and compassionate Medical Case Manager II to join our team in Indianapolis, Indiana. As a Medical Case Manager II, you will play a vital role in facilitating the recovery of injured workers and their families.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide medical case management services to individuals through in-person and telephonic communications with patients, physicians, and other healthcare providers.
- Utilize your medical and nursing knowledge to discuss treatment plans with physicians and explore alternative treatment options.
- Evaluate treatment plans for appropriateness, medical necessity, and cost-effectiveness.
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient progress.
- Attend medical appointments, hospital visits, and other relevant meetings to ensure effective care.
- Implement care strategies, including negotiation of durable medical equipment and nursing services.
- Travel locally up to 60% of the workweek/month, with occasional overnight travel.
Requirements:
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
- Current RN licensure in the state of operation.
- Certification as a CCM, CIRS, or other case management certifications preferred.
- A valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and ability to travel to assigned locations.
