Reports to: Pharmacy Manager
Position Summary: Supports pharmacy personnel with customer interaction responsibilities, including processing sales, managing incoming calls, and maintaining a clean and well-stocked environment.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Facilitates customer sales transactions efficiently.
2. Ensures shelves are adequately stocked.
3. Maintains cleanliness by sweeping floors.
4. Disposes of waste and ensures that no protected health information (PHI) is present.
5. Organizes and categorizes documents, such as invoices and checks, to substantiate business transactions.
6. Performs additional tasks as assigned by management to ensure the pharmacy operates smoothly.
Qualifications:
1. Education and/or Training: High school diploma or equivalent.
2. Professional Experience: No prior experience required; one year of experience in a retail environment is preferred.
3. Licenses/Certifications: None required; may participate in periodic training sessions as designated by management.
4. Specialized Skills: Proficient in reading, writing, and performing basic mathematical calculations.
Language Skills:
i. Ability to read and identify similarities and differences in words and numbers.
ii. Ability to articulate concise sentences; read and comprehend instructions, brief correspondence, and memos.
iii. Ability to compose written correspondence.
Mathematical Skills:
i. Ability to perform addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
ii. Ability to execute these operations using U.S. currency.
Reasoning Skills: Ability to apply common sense understanding to execute detailed but straightforward written or oral instructions.
Technical Skills:
Basic mathematical skills.
Computer Skills: Proficient in using cash registers, credit card machines, and other relevant equipment.
5. Candidates must successfully pass a drug screening and background check prior to employment.
