Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Accountant to join our Financial Reporting team at Davis H. Elliot Company, Inc. This role is pivotal in ensuring the accurate and timely preparation of financial statements, compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), and support of the company's overall financial reporting objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the monthly financial close process, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
  • Prepare and analyze financial statements in accordance with GAAP, providing insightful analysis and recommendations.
  • Assist in the preparation of monthly and quarterly reporting to Executive Management, ensuring timely and accurate delivery.
  • Perform account reconciliations, balance sheet reviews, and flux analysis to identify areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide financial guidance and support, fostering a culture of trust and expertise.
  • Assist with the external audit process, providing necessary documentation and support to ensure a smooth audit experience.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and productivity.
  • Provide support to other accounting functions as needed, ensuring seamless integration and communication.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant accounting experience, with a strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting standards.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and financial reporting systems, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex financial concepts in a clear and concise manner.
  • Ability to work on-site full-time, with a strong commitment to the company's values and mission.
Preferred Qualifications
  • CPA certification, with experience in public accounting or with a large, publicly traded company.
  • Experience with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems and consolidated reporting software, such as Oracle, SAP, or OneStream.
