About the Opportunity

Valvoline is seeking a highly skilled Senior Accountant to join our team in the Consolidations & Reporting department. As a key member of our finance team, you will be responsible for performing professional accounting work involving compilation, consolidation, and analysis of financial data.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, fluctuation analysis, and the preparation and review of financial reports.
  • Consolidations: Perform global consolidation of results for monthly financial statements and analyze/reconcile inter-company activity.
  • Internal Controls: Manage company checklists, streamline processes, and identify issues for escalation.
  • SOX Compliance: Perform SOX controls related to the close and consolidation process.
  • Support and Guidance: Provide timely coaching and feedback to team members through performing substantive reviews of their work.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in accounting or equivalent.
  • Professional Certifications: CPA preferred.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and experience with ERP or accounting systems.
  • Experience: Minimum of four years of relevant experience with coaching and development experience preferred.
