Work Schedule:

Typical operating hours are from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, with the understanding that hours may vary based on operational requirements.

Compensation:

$43,888 annually.

Position Summary:

Under the guidance of the Transportation Manager, this role involves planning, organizing, and executing the transportation schedules for the Center.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the activities of staff entering the homes of LIFE-NWPA Participants.
  • Manage the daily operations of Drivers/Aides.
  • Coordinate with external transportation service providers and document transportation interactions in Pacelogic.
  • Utilize Tripmaster Scheduling Software to:
  • Prepare daily transport schedules.
  • Inform drivers of changes in Participant status.
  • Relay specific transport needs of Participants to drivers.
  • Maintain an accurate list of Participants.
  • Assign automated reminder calls to Participants and/or their caregivers.
  • Coordinate appointments and medication/supply deliveries as requested by Clinic staff.
  • Report vehicle maintenance issues to the Transportation Manager.
  • Schedule vehicle maintenance appointments as directed.
  • Submit maintenance invoices to the Transportation Manager for tracking and payment.
  • Conduct initial and periodic assessments.
  • Contribute as a member of the multidisciplinary team.
  • Assist in the development of the IDT Plan of Care.
  • Complete all required documentation in electronic medical records.
  • Monitor Driver attendance using the company's electronic tracking system, approve Paid Time Off Requests with the Center Manager, and ensure timely submission of payroll information.
  • Transport Participants as necessary.
  • Engage in ongoing Quality Initiative training as directed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Supervisory Duties:

  • Provide oversight for assigned Center Drivers.

Essential Skills and Qualifications:

  • Access to reliable transportation is required.
  • Ability to interact tactfully and patiently with personnel, participants, family members, visitors, and the public.
  • Communicate effectively with medical staff, nursing personnel, and other department supervisors.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to follow through on tasks.
  • Capacity to make independent decisions when necessary.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • CPR and First Aid Certification are required.

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
  • One to three years of relevant experience is required.
  • Previous supervisory experience is essential.
  • Experience in scheduling or logistics is preferred.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to changing participant needs are crucial.
  • Experience working with the elderly or willingness to undergo extensive training is necessary.

Additional Requirements:

  • A valid State driver's license with a clean driving record and reliable transportation is mandatory.
  • Successful completion of background checks, physical examinations, drug screenings, and TB screenings is required.

Physical Demands:

  • Ability to sit, stand, bend, lift, and move intermittently during working hours.
  • Frequent interruptions are expected.
  • Must be capable of lifting, carrying, and supporting Participants.
