Position Overview:

We are currently in search of a skilled and experienced Permanent Material Planner to enhance our operations in the Manufacturing sector.

The ideal candidate will be instrumental in managing and refining our supply chain activities, ensuring a seamless and cost-efficient transition of products from suppliers to end-users.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Formulate and execute efficient material planning strategies to guarantee the availability of materials and products, aligning with customer requirements.
  • Oversee and manage purchase orders (POs), ensuring precision, punctuality, and adherence to company protocols.
  • Engage with suppliers to negotiate pricing, set delivery timelines, and address any emerging issues.
  • Utilize Microsoft Suite to maintain precise records of inventory levels, purchase orders, and supplier data.
  • Evaluate and monitor supply chain performance, pinpointing areas for enhancement and applying effective solutions.
  • Collaborate with various departments, including production and sales, to anticipate demand and ensure product availability.
  • Uphold and follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for all supply chain activities.
  • Optimize inventory levels to minimize costs and boost operational efficiency.
  • Participate in regular discussions with management to review supply chain performance, challenges, and potential improvements.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related discipline.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in material planning, inventory oversight, or a comparable role within the Manufacturing sector.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Suite, especially Excel, for data analysis and reporting.
  • Comprehensive understanding of supply chain processes and best practices, including purchase orders (POs) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Exceptional negotiation and relationship management skills, with a proven track record of effective supplier collaboration.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, demonstrating the ability to work effectively within a group.
  • Capability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously, effectively prioritizing tasks and meeting deadlines.
  • Strong commitment to ongoing learning and professional growth.
  • Certification in Supply Chain Management or a related area would be advantageous.
