Position Overview:

We are currently in search of a skilled and experienced Permanent Material Planner to enhance our operations in the Manufacturing sector.

The ideal candidate will be instrumental in managing and refining our supply chain processes, ensuring an efficient and cost-effective flow of products from suppliers to customers.

This role presents a unique chance to impact our organization positively by overseeing inventory management, optimizing material planning processes, and ensuring effective execution of purchase orders (POs).


Key Responsibilities:

  • Formulate and execute efficient material planning strategies to guarantee the availability of materials and products, aligning with customer requirements.
  • Oversee and manage purchase orders (POs), ensuring precision, timeliness, and adherence to company protocols.
  • Engage with suppliers to negotiate pricing, set delivery timelines, and address any emerging issues.
  • Utilize Microsoft Suite to keep precise records of inventory levels, purchase orders, and supplier data.
  • Assess and monitor supply chain performance, pinpointing areas for enhancement and implementing effective solutions.
  • Collaborate with various departments, including production and sales, to forecast demand and ensure product availability.
  • Maintain compliance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) across all supply chain activities.
  • Optimize inventory levels to minimize costs and enhance operational efficiency.
  • Participate in regular discussions with management to review supply chain performance, challenges, and improvement opportunities.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related discipline.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in material planning, inventory management, or a comparable role within the Manufacturing sector.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Suite, especially Excel, for data analysis and reporting.
  • Comprehensive understanding of supply chain processes and best practices, including purchase orders (POs) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Exceptional negotiation and relationship management skills, with a proven track record of effective supplier collaboration.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, demonstrating the ability to work collaboratively.
  • Capacity to manage multiple priorities, effectively prioritize tasks, and meet stringent deadlines.
  • Commitment to ongoing learning and professional growth.
  • Certification in Supply Chain Management or a related area is advantageous.
