Position Overview

As the HR Operations Manager at The Ladders, you will be instrumental in enhancing the local HR function, ensuring compliance with relevant policies, laws, and regulations while nurturing a positive workplace environment. Working closely with leadership, you will manage various initiatives aimed at fostering continuous improvement within the HR department. Your key responsibilities will include ensuring adherence to federal and state regulations, conducting audits, offering project support, and mentoring local HR personnel to maintain effective and compliant workplaces. Furthermore, you will lead investigations into employee concerns, oversee projects, and facilitate regular HR Manager meetings to provide updates on labor relations.

***A significant aspect of this role involves spending a considerable portion of your time engaging with employees directly to understand their needs.***

This position requires a strong onsite presence.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable federal and state regulations across all locations.
  • Guide local HR teams in addressing workplace issues and fostering a positive, productive environment.
  • Collaborate with HR staff in investigating complaints related to discrimination or harassment and recommend appropriate actions.
  • Oversee the recruitment and selection processes.
  • Develop and implement HR strategies that align with the overall business objectives.
  • Bridge the gap between management and employees by addressing concerns and grievances.
  • Manage a performance evaluation system that promotes high performance.
  • Conduct necessary audits related to employment laws.
  • Provide project support, including research and report generation.
  • Assist the department during the annual budgeting process.
  • Deliver regular updates on labor relations.
  • Assess training needs and oversee training programs.
  • Report to management with HR metrics to support decision-making.
  • Conduct audits of HR information systems as required.
  • Provide compliance assistance to various locations.
  • Ensure legal compliance throughout all HR functions.
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, human resources, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 7 years of relevant HR experience.
  • Ability to engage with employees on the production floor.
  • In-depth knowledge of HR key performance indicators.
  • Familiarity with current employment laws and regulations.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software.
  • Proven ability to build positive relationships and collaborate with diverse teams.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Willingness to travel as needed.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • MBA or advanced degree.
  • Professional in Human Resources (PHR) certification.
  • Experience with ERP systems.
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Experience in employee engagement initiatives.
  • Understanding of safety and health regulations.
  • Experience in conflict resolution and disciplinary processes.
  • Familiarity with talent management and succession planning.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion.
