Key Responsibilities
  1. Create awareness of our products among the broker market
  2. Secure relationships with target brokers and train them on our products, positioning, and processes
  3. Evaluate broker performance and continually recruit brokers as additions to our broker organization
  4. Identify potential brokers from referrals, references, or industry listings
  5. Deliver white glove support to broker partners through the quoting and underwriting process
  6. Assist broker partners in developing selling strategies to obtain potential employer client prospects
  7. Provide timely communication to brokers on product offerings, network changes, rate changes, and plan designs
  8. Master our product portfolio to best represent us in the marketplace
  9. Develop relationships with our Account Managers to ensure seamless service to sold accounts
  10. Provide feedback to our Regional Vice President on the receptivity of our product portfolio in the market and recommendations for future development
  11. Meet daily activity metrics as defined by our Regional Vice President
  12. Input demographic disposition of groups and plan designs into our CRM for reporting
  13. Travel within the region, as needed, to solidify key broker relationships or close significant deals
Requirements

We're looking for a sales professional with:

  • 1 to 2 years of sales-related experience or general health insurance industry experience
  • Self-motivation and the ability to work successfully without ongoing supervision
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills to effectively perform sales duties, together with professional telephone and meeting etiquette
  • Organizational skills and the ability to complete multiple complex tasks promptly
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to shifting priorities and align activities and priorities to meet organizational goals
  • A proven track record of successfully executing sales plans and the ability to influence behavior through sales techniques
