Job Overview

As a Line Cook at Wyndham Hotel, you will be an integral part of our culinary team, contributing to the delivery of exceptional dining experiences for our guests. You will work in a fast-paced environment, preparing high-quality dishes with precision and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Food Preparation: Prepare and cook menu items to Wyndham Hotel's standards, following recipes, portion controls, and presentation specifications.
  • Station Management: Efficiently manage assigned kitchen station, including setup, cooking, and cleanup, ensuring all ingredients and supplies are stocked and organized.
  • Quality Control: Maintain high standards of food quality and hygiene, monitoring food temperatures, ingredient freshness, and consistency of dish presentation.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with other kitchen staff and front-of-house team to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment, communicating effectively to coordinate and prioritize tasks.
  • Safety and Cleanliness: Adhere to all health and safety regulations, including proper food handling, storage, and sanitation practices, maintaining a clean and organized workstation.
  • Inventory Management: Assist in managing inventory levels and ordering supplies as needed, reporting any shortages or equipment issues to the Kitchen Manager.
Requirements:
  • Culinary Skills: Proficiency in cooking techniques and knowledge of food safety practices, experience in preparing a variety of dishes and working with diverse ingredients.
  • Attention to Detail: Strong focus on accuracy in food preparation, presentation, and adherence to recipes and portion sizes.
  • Time Management: Ability to work efficiently under pressure and handle multiple tasks simultaneously, capable of prioritizing duties and managing time effectively.
  • Teamwork: Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate with colleagues in a fast-paced environment, flexibility to adapt to changing demands and shifts.
  • Problem-Solving: Proactive approach to addressing and resolving kitchen issues, such as ingredient shortages or equipment malfunctions.
  • Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for extended periods, lift heavy items, and work in a hot and fast-paced environment.
