We are in search of a User Interface Engineer who is passionate about designing remarkable user experiences for career-oriented websites. You will leverage your front-end skills to work with some of the most respected brands globally, developing career platforms that assist clients in transforming their hiring processes. As a vital member of our expanding career site team, this role is ideal for someone who enjoys creativity, collaboration, and making a significant impact from day one.

As a User Interface Engineer, your responsibilities will include:

  • Converting design ideas into pixel-perfect, interactive, and user-friendly web interfaces utilizing HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript, with a focus on the needs of career site users.
  • Collaborating closely with client-facing teams to proactively gather client requirements regarding career site functionalities, presenting design and development solutions that align with their objectives, and effectively addressing feedback.
  • Working alongside designers, product teams, and clients to enhance user flows, improve usability, and create a seamless job search and application experience.
  • Optimizing performance: Implementing strategies to enhance web application speed, including image optimization, code minification, and efficient asset loading.
  • Advocating for responsiveness and accessibility by developing highly responsive web applications that function seamlessly across devices and comply with web accessibility standards (WCAG) - essential for providing an equitable job search experience.
  • Designing and implementing scalable front-end architectures while collaborating with back-end developers to ensure smooth data flow and API integrations.
  • Building and expanding a library of reusable UI components to foster consistency and development efficiency.
Required Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of professional experience in front-end development.
  • A portfolio demonstrating impressive front-end development projects.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Web Development, or a related field (or equivalent years of experience).
  • Proven expertise in HTML5, CSS3 (including preprocessors like SASS/LESS), and JavaScript (ES6+).
  • Extensive experience with at least one modern front-end framework such as React or Angular.
  • Understanding of key browser storage methods such as Cookies, Local Storage, Session Storage, or IndexedDB.
  • Experience in implementing and managing Content Security Policy (CSP) to enhance website security and prevent vulnerabilities.
  • Proficient in using Chrome DevTools for debugging, optimizing, and analyzing web applications.
  • Experience with Google tools such as Google Analytics (GA), Google Tag Manager (GTM), and Google Search Console.
  • Demonstrated expertise in responsive design, cross-browser compatibility, and accessibility best practices.
  • Excellent problem-solving, debugging, and optimization skills.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with designers and client-facing teams, translating client needs into technical solutions.
  • Authorization to work in the United States.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Familiarity with front-end testing frameworks (Jest, Mocha, etc.).
  • Understanding of web animation techniques and libraries.
  • Working knowledge of server-side technologies (Python, Ruby on Rails, etc.).
  • Experience with state management libraries (Redux, Vuex, etc.).
  • Experience with Agile development methodologies and version control (Git).
  • A keen eye for visual design and a strong understanding of UI/UX principles, particularly as they relate to career websites.
