About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Advanced Systems Engineer to join our PWSA Mission SE team at General Dynamics Mission Systems. As a key member of our cross-functional team, you will be responsible for developing and deploying state-of-the-art ground operational systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the systems development life cycle, leveraging creative thinking and technical expertise to drive innovation and process improvements.
  • Collaborate with senior stakeholders to provide technical leadership and position others for success.
  • Develop and maintain thorough knowledge of technology trends, championing new ideas and process improvements.
  • Provide strong presentation and communications skills, with experience in negotiation and meeting challenging customer requirements with win-win solutions.
  • Commit to ongoing professional development for yourself and others.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering or a related Science, Engineering, or Mathematics field.
  • 8+ years of job-related experience, or a Master's degree plus 6 years of job-related experience.
  • Agile experience preferred.
  • Department of Defense Secret security clearance is preferred at time of hire.
  • Candidates must be able to obtain a Secret clearance within a reasonable amount of time from date of hire.
Preferred Experience
  • Satellite communications knowledge.
  • Satellite constellation contact planning experience.
  • Ground operations experience.
  • Design of networks, with working knowledge of networking protocols.
  • Detailed technical analyses for a software subsystem or system elements.
  • Experience in Software functional analysis and interface definitions, including Application Programming Interface experience.
  • System Engineering Experience: researches and analyzes data, such as vendor products, COTS components, GFE/CFE, specifications, and manuals to determine feasibility of design or application.
Workplace Options

This position is fully on-site, or Hybrid/Flex. While on-site, you will be a part of the Scottsdale location facility.
