Overview of the Senior Fund Accountant Position

Access Holdings is in search of a proactive, detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Senior Fund Accountant. You will be part of a dynamic group of professionals whose success is driven by dedication, creativity, and a commitment to exceeding expectations. Primary Responsibilities

Fund Accounting Duties

  • Collaborate with the Fund Administrator to aid in the preparation of financial statements and reports for various funds and co-investments.
  • Ensure adherence to applicable regulatory guidelines, including GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles), SEC (Securities and Exchange Commission) regulations, and other relevant industry standards.
  • Work alongside the Fund Administrator to create capital call and distribution notices for all relevant stakeholders.
  • Assist in the review and preparation of quarterly and annual financial statements and partner capital recording packages, including all supporting work papers and disclosure documents with the assistance of the Fund Administrator.
  • Support the annual and quarterly valuation process and preparation of associated work papers for the valuation committee, including the review of direct investment valuations prepared in-house and provide related support to the Investment team.
  • Engage in the preparation of annual audits, liaise with external auditors, and assist in resolving any audit findings or inquiries.
  • Participate in the preparation of fund-level tax returns and limited partner K-1s, liaise with external tax compliance and preparation firms, and assist in addressing any investor inquiries.
  • Contribute to the implementation and maintenance of accounting policies, procedures, and controls, ensuring compliance and identifying areas for improvement.
Compliance Responsibilities
  • Prepare annual regulatory filings with the SEC and other regulatory agencies.
  • Provide compliance support across all levels of the organization.
  • Monitor employee preclearance for investments, gifts and entertainment, and charitable contributions.
  • Coordinate with the third-party compliance vendor.
  • Support ad-hoc regulatory examinations.
Qualifications

Professional Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • CPA preferred.
  • Experience with Investran is a plus.
  • 3+ years of experience in private equity and/or public accounting (Big 4 public accounting background with a focus on private equity is a plus).
  • Exceptional understanding of accounting and finance principles.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
