Senior Fund Accountant Role Overview

Access Holdings is seeking a proactive, detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Senior Fund Accountant. You will be part of a dynamic group of professionals whose success is driven by dedication, creativity, and a commitment to exceeding expectations. Access is focused on identifying individuals who possess the motivation and initiative to enhance our firm's performance.

The Senior Fund Accountant will collaborate closely with the Controller to ensure that all fund reporting requirements are met accurately and promptly, while also supporting the development of our platforms and accounting team.

Key Responsibilities

Fund Accounting Support

  • Coordinate with the Fund Administrator to assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports for various funds and co-investments.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable regulatory guidelines, such as GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles), SEC (Securities and Exchange Commission) regulations, and other relevant industry standards.
  • Partner with the Fund Administrator to prepare capital call and distribution notices for all related stakeholders.
  • Assist in the review and preparation of quarterly and annual financial statements and partner capital recording packages, including all supporting work papers and disclosure documents with the assistance of the Fund Administrator.
  • Support the annual and quarterly valuation process and preparation of associated work papers for the valuation committee, including the review of direct investment valuations prepared in-house and provide related support to the Investment team.
  • Participate in the preparation of annual audits, liaise with external auditors, and assist in resolving any audit findings or inquiries.
  • Assist in the preparation of fund-level tax returns and limited partner K-1s, liaise with external tax compliance and preparation firms, and assist in resolving any investor inquiries.
  • Contribute to the implementation and maintenance of accounting policies, procedures, and controls, ensuring adherence and identifying areas for enhancement.
Compliance
  • Prepare annual regulatory filings with the SEC and other regulatory agencies.
  • Provide compliance support to all levels of the organization.
  • Monitor employee preclearance for investments, gifts and entertainment, and charitable contributions.
  • Liaise with the third-party compliance vendor.
  • Support ad-hoc regulatory exams.

Professional Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • CPA preferred.
  • Experience with Investran is a plus.
  • 3+ years of private equity and/or public accounting experience (Big 4 public accounting background with a concentration in private equity is a plus).
  • Exceptional understanding of accounting and finance.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills.
