About This Role

In the capacity of Commercial HVAC Solutions Sales Specialist focusing on Modernizations or Controls, your primary responsibility will be to identify and pursue significant opportunities that enable our clients to upgrade their systems, targeting both plan/spec and design/build or direct-to-owner projects.

This position is ideally suited for individuals who excel in relationship-building, possess exceptional customer service skills, and thrive in collaborative environments. It is perfect for those who can assess and understand both the immediate and long-term needs of clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct presentations at customer seminars to foster new and existing client relationships and opportunities
  • Exhibit proficiency in Commercial HVAC systems
  • Articulate Carrier's value proposition by aligning customer goals with Carrier solutions
  • Oversee complex multi-service solution proposals
  • Utilize CRM tools to manage customer interactions, activities, and opportunity pipelines
  • Demonstrate advanced sales skills, including commercial awareness and integrity
  • Identify and pursue new modernization opportunities with both existing and prospective clients
  • Establish and enhance credibility
  • Develop and maintain strong customer relationships
  • Create engaging presentations and communicate effectively
  • Recognize the customer's buying stage and tailor sales strategies accordingly
  • Manage multiple concurrent activities, organizing workflows to meet objectives punctually
  • Accurately anticipate future trends
  • Adapt swiftly in a fast-paced environment to secure orders in a timely manner
  • Consistently meet sales metrics and annual objectives
  • Produce high-quality, timely estimates, bids, and proposals, including detailed cost-benefit analyses to support clients' investment decisions.

Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma / GED
  • 3+ years of B2B technical sales experience
  • Ability to lift/carry 20 pounds, climb ladders/stairs, and work comfortably on roofs/platforms

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 3+ years of experience in HVAC Solutions Sales
  • Familiarity with the industry, market dynamics, and key participants, particularly in the medical, pharmaceutical, or educational sectors
  • Capability to thrive in a highly collaborative and dynamic environment
  • Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills to effectively set expectations and build relationships with both internal and external stakeholders
  • Self-driven with the ability to manage multiple projects and responsibilities simultaneously
  • Proficient in operating within a technical environment using Microsoft-based software
  • Exceptional sales and negotiation skills, goal-oriented with strong time management and organizational capabilities
  • Proven ability to develop a pipeline of long lead-time projects
  • In-depth knowledge of industry offerings and solutions
  • Understanding of customer decision-making processes, including key buyers and influencers
  • Strong financial and business acumen
  • Ability to coordinate with other sales and support roles as needed.

Pay Range:

$74,181 - $130,206 Annually
