About This Position

In the role of HVAC Solutions Sales Specialist focused on Modernizations or Controls, you will engage in identifying significant opportunities that assist our clients in upgrading their systems, targeting both plan/spec and design/build or direct-to-owner projects.

This position is ideal for individuals who excel in relationship-building, possess exceptional customer service skills, and enjoy collaborating with cross-functional teams. It suits those who are skilled at evaluating and addressing both the immediate and long-term requirements of clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct presentations at customer seminars to foster new and existing client relationships and opportunities
  • Exhibit proficiency in Commercial HVAC
  • Articulate Carrier's value proposition by aligning customer goals with Carrier solutions
  • Oversee complex multi-service solution proposals
  • Utilize CRM systems to manage customer interactions, activities, and opportunity pipelines
  • Demonstrate advanced sales skills, including commercial awareness and integrity
  • Identify and pursue new modernization opportunities with both existing and prospective clients
  • Establish and enhance credibility
  • Develop and maintain strong customer relationships
  • Create impactful presentations and communicate effectively
  • Recognize the customer's buying stage and tailor sales strategies accordingly
  • Manage multiple concurrent activities, organizing workflows to meet objectives promptly
  • Accurately anticipate future trends
  • Adapt swiftly in a fast-paced environment to secure orders in a timely manner
  • Consistently meet sales metrics and annual targets
  • Prepare high-quality, timely estimates, bids, and proposals, including detailed cost-benefit analyses to support clients' investment decisions.

Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma / GED
  • 3+ years of B2B technical sales experience
  • Ability to lift/carry 20 pounds, climb ladders/stairs, and work comfortably on roofs/platforms

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 3+ years of experience in HVAC Solutions Sales
  • Familiarity with the industry, market, and key participants, particularly in the medical, pharmaceutical, or educational sectors
  • Ability to thrive in a highly collaborative and dynamic environment
  • Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills to effectively manage expectations and relationships with both internal and external stakeholders
  • Self-motivated with the capacity to manage multiple simultaneous projects and responsibilities
  • Proficient in operating within a technical environment using Microsoft-based software
  • Exceptional sales and negotiation skills, goal-oriented with strong time management and organizational abilities
  • Proven capability to develop a pipeline of long lead-time projects
  • In-depth knowledge of industry offerings and solutions
  • Understanding of customer decision-making processes, including buyers and influencers
  • Strong financial and business acumen
  • Ability to identify when to involve and coordinate additional selling and support roles in customer interactions

Pay Range:

$74,181 - $130,206 Annually
