About this Position

Carrier Commercial Service is seeking a Commercial HVAC Service Operations Manager. This role entails overseeing the financial performance of a service branch and is pivotal in expanding the market presence of Carrier Commercial Service. You will lead a team of skilled Field Service professionals, address escalated issues, foster strong relationships with key clients, and manage high-profile customer complaints. Additionally, you will be responsible for the development and implementation of training and assessment programs for field service personnel.

Key Responsibilities
  • Analyze, track, and report financial outcomes against established goals.
  • Engage with clients within the service area to ensure satisfaction and explore additional service opportunities.
  • Recruit, interview, onboard, and train technicians to meet operational demands and client expectations.
  • Supervise and guide field technicians in executing equipment repairs, maintenance, start-up, and other necessary tasks to guarantee customer satisfaction.
  • Maintain regular communication within the team to ensure proper scheduling and dispatching based on skill level, efficiency, and training needs.
  • Address warranty claims, product recalls, operational challenges, and other product-related issues.
  • Review work orders, invoices, and time reports for accuracy to ensure effective management of accounts receivable.
  • Ensure compliance with environmental, health, and safety regulations within the service team, providing necessary training to promote a safe and productive work environment.
Required Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in Commercial HVAC.
  • At least 2 years of leadership experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite for at least 1 year.
  • Valid Driver's License.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Management or Engineering.
  • Technical knowledge of local building codes and the ability to devise solutions using available resources.
  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency in common office applications such as MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and familiarity with ServiceMax, ERP, and other business software.
