Position Summary:

As an Air Freight Operations Specialist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient flow of shipments. Your responsibilities will encompass a variety of tasks aimed at maintaining operational excellence and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Facilitate the seamless and timely movement of shipments.
  • Perform accurate and prompt data entry into our operational systems, adhering to established metrics.
  • Monitor and trace shipments to ensure visibility and accountability.
  • Communicate proactively and clearly with both internal teams and external clients.
  • Manage accurate client billing processes, including resolving any disputes.
  • Understand and meet customer expectations, ensuring compliance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
  • Adhere to company policies and external regulations to maintain compliance.
  • Engage in cross-training to support team operations effectively.
  • Represent Expeditors professionally to customers, service providers, and regulatory agencies.

  • Complete a minimum of 52 hours of training annually, including mandatory sessions.

Note: Local candidates are preferred. A cover letter is required, and weekend support may be necessary.

Qualifications:
  • Typing speed of at least 30 words per minute and proficiency in 10-key by touch.
  • Ability to identify and propose improvements to processes.
  • Dangerous Goods (DG) Certification is required.
  • Adaptability to change and capability to thrive in high-pressure environments.
  • Compliance certifications necessary for the role must be obtained and maintained.
  • Knowledge or prior experience in industry-specific qualifications is advantageous.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively.
  • Proactive approach with excellent organizational skills.
  • Competence in computer applications such as Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
