Job Summary
Expeditors is seeking a highly skilled and experienced IT Support Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for providing technical support and maintenance for our company's IT infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and administration tasks for our server room, including backups and data recovery.
- Develop and implement automation solutions using PowerShell and other tools to improve efficiency and reduce downtime.
- Manage procurement, asset management, and inventory processes to ensure seamless operations.
- Provide technical support for audio/visual equipment, telecom administration, and maintenance.
- Administer Expeditors' proprietary applications and 3rd party systems to ensure smooth operations.
- Monitor and analyze capacity utilization and plan for future growth.
- Manage helpdesk operations and provide training to staff on IT-related topics.
- Develop and implement disaster recovery and high availability plans to ensure business continuity.
- Implement and maintain cybersecurity measures to protect our company's data and systems.
Requirements
We are looking for a candidate with the following qualifications:
- Windows PC troubleshooting, maintenance, and deployment experience.
- Printers/copiers maintenance and troubleshooting experience.
- Networking fundamentals, including LAN/WAN and warehouse RF setup and configuration.
- Windows Server Administration experience, including AD and Group policies.
- Linux Server Administration fundamentals.
- Virtualization experience.
- Remote administration experience.
- Mobile devices (iOS/Android) support experience.
- Cybersecurity experience.
Education and Experience
- Preferred Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field.
- IT certifications, such as CompTIA, Cisco, Microsoft, VMware, and Linux, are considered a plus.
- Preferred IT helpdesk background with experience in a similar role.
