Position Overview
The Maritime Import Specialist plays a crucial role in ensuring the seamless and timely movement of freight and information. This position is integral to the Ocean Import Department, where exceptional customer service is paramount.
Key Responsibilities
- Operational Expertise: Maintain a comprehensive understanding of industry practices.
- Customer Engagement: Provide outstanding service to clients and stakeholders.
- Vendor Collaboration: Foster strong relationships with suppliers.
- Adherence to Standards: Ensure compliance with established procedures and productivity benchmarks.
- Financial Accuracy: Manage billing processes with precision and timeliness.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify best practices to enhance operational efficiency.
- Effective Communication: Handle overseas communications and respond promptly to inquiries.
- Problem Resolution: Escalate issues to management as necessary.
Qualifications
A bachelor's degree is preferred. Candidates should possess effective interpersonal skills, strong computer proficiency (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), and a keen attention to detail. Fluency in English is required.
Reporting Structure
This position reports to the Ocean Import Lead Agent, Supervisor, and Manager.
