Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Cable Puller / Low Voltage Apprentice to join our team at HS Solutions, LLC. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for performing a variety of installation tasks, including cable pulling, termination, testing, programming, and all necessary verbal and written communications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install and terminate low voltage cables, including fiber optic and copper cables
  • Perform service call activities for structured cabling and other low voltage systems
  • Assess and troubleshoot issues and problems with low voltage systems
  • Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, submittals, specifications, and schematics
  • Continually learn new products, upgrades, and software programs related to low voltage systems
  • Represent HS Solutions, LLC in a professional manner at all times
  • Abide by OSHA regulations and use protective equipment as required

Requirements:

  • Must have a great attitude and be willing to learn from superiors and peers
  • Must be able to attend classes online or in person at least once a week
  • Must successfully pass a probationary period
  • Must be able to get to and from project sites independently and on time
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, good verbal and written communication
  • Ability to work independently or on a team at multiple locations in the DC Metro area
  • Ability to exercise sound judgment and find effective solutions
  • Ability to troubleshoot in a fast-paced environment
  • Must have clean driving and criminal records and successfully pass a drug test
  • Working knowledge of hand and power tools is desirable

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Ability to work on heights (lifts and ladders)
  • Must be able to climb, crawl, and raise objects overhead

Education Requirements:

  • Must have a high school diploma or GED
  • Must pass English and math qualification exam
  • Must have valid OSHA-10 Certification

Compensation Information:

  • This position has a non-negotiable established 3-year hourly rate adjustment schedule
  • Apprentice Wage Scale rates will apply depending on project assignment
