KEY FUNCTIONS:

The Hotel Operations Manager Expert is entrusted with operational and limited financial oversight for a designated CRST hotel throughout the duration of the assignment. This role entails managing all hotel departments in alignment with Brand Standards and under the guidance of the Regional Manager.

PRIMARY DUTIES:

Assume the responsibilities of the Hotel Operations Manager at the assigned property.

Possess a comprehensive understanding of the hotel’s Operating, Financial, and Sales and Marketing protocols and objectives.

Execute all duties associated with the Hotel Operations Manager or Department Manager at the designated hotel.

Ensure adherence to Quality Assurance standards at the assigned property.

Conduct self-audits for Quality Assurance at any hotel as needed.

Act as a Brand Advocate; actively engage in supporting all Brand and Regional initiatives.

Serve as a liaison for sharing best practices among all hotels within the Region.

Facilitate region-wide training sessions for new initiatives and current Brand Standards for Operations Managers.

Engage in and support the Region's Specialist Team initiatives.

Demonstrate proficiency in managing daily operations of a CYRB hotel.

Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of all current promotions and program offerings across CRST hotels.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Guest Relations

Exemplify outstanding guest service at the assigned hotel. Extend professional courtesy to all guests.

Establish or support SMART Guest Service objectives and display expectations and results for all associates.

Address all guest service concerns and inquiries promptly and professionally.

Deliver Service Training by implementing Brand-specific Service Training modules.

Associate Relations

Support or establish Associate Satisfaction goals by monitoring compliance with the hotel’s action steps.

Conduct Associate Satisfaction assessments.

Facilitate the onboarding and training process for new associates.

Encourage the development of technical and leadership skills for Operations Managers.

Ensure compliance with Brand Standard Service training.

Provide information regarding benefits using available resources.

Uphold the policy of Fair Treatment for all associates.

Conduct weekly Leadership Staff Meetings.

Financial and Administrative Responsibilities

Review or generate financial reports for the hotel, including Budget, Profit and Loss Statements, Labor Statistics, and Forecast Reports. Support or develop financial action plans to meet the hotel’s objectives.

Participate in the Period End Critique process with relevant stakeholders.

Ensure compliance with all Corporate Accounting procedures.

Review the hotel’s ADA Plan and Sales Forecast.

Oversee hotel purchases to ensure compliance with financial accounting standards.

Sales and Marketing Responsibilities

Represent the hotel in Cluster Revenue and Sales and Marketing meetings.

Support the hotel’s major accounts and current Sales and Marketing strategies.

Monitor daily sales strategies and recommend adjustments to maximize revenue.

Utilize the hotel’s sales engines effectively.

Technical Skills

Possess proficiency in operating software such as PMS, MARSHA, and Microsoft Office Suite.

Access online resources for information as needed.

Produce clear, accurate, and well-structured documents representing the hotel or the Region.

Other Responsibilities

Adhere to corporate policies regarding travel and business expenses.

Ensure accurate and timely reporting of Payroll Time Data.

Provide written reports detailing accomplishments and future plans for each assigned hotel.

Establish yearly SMART goals that align with the Region and Brand and monitor adherence.

Solicit feedback from visited hotels and incorporate insights into personal development plans.
