About the Role

The Smart Meter Deployment Operations Manager plays a critical role in improving operations, sales, profit, and individual development to fulfill customer satisfaction at Bermex, Inc.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure timely production reports and accurate record information to operating activities for control, planning, accounting, and customer reports.
  • Implement approved policies and objectives, ensuring clear understanding and effective application across operating units.
  • Manage staffing requirements, hiring new talent as needed to match specific duties and skill sets.
  • Represent the company professionally to clients and their customers.
  • Review performance and causes of significant variances, along with corrective action plans.
  • Distribute monthly operation reports listing unusual events, major expenditures, legal actions, overtime payments, etc., to relevant departments/personnel.
Team Management & Collaboration
  • Provide direction, training, support, supervision, and motivation to operation supervisors and their downline reports.
  • Supervise and review the preparation of forecast numbers for each department.
  • Conduct performance and wage reviews for department supervision.
  • Maintain and improve safe work environments.
  • Refer consumer complaints to the appropriate authorities and delegate responsibilities accordingly.
  • Perform other duties necessary to maintain customer relationships.
Smart Meter Deployment
  • Manage multiple work order management systems for smart meter deployment contracts.
  • Provide training and oversee the deployment of polyphase and transformer-rated electric meters, as well as water and gas metering hands-on skills.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
About You
  • Must-haves:
    • High School Diploma or GED.
    • 3 years of experience in operations management or supervisory roles.
    • At least 1 year of experience in a management role directly related to smart meter deployment.
  • Nice-to-haves:
    • Bachelor's Degree in Operations Management or Business Administration.
    • 4 or more years of experience in operations management or supervisory roles.
    • More than 2 years of experience in a management role directly related to smart meter deployment.
    • Multi-state experience.

  • Strong budget development and oversight skills.
  • Excellent ability to delegate responsibilities while maintaining organizational control of operations and customer service.
  • Highly trained in conflict management and business negotiation processes.
  • Proven knowledge of operations, safety processes, programs, and procedures.
  • Ability to multi-task and work independently and as a team.
  • Exceptional flexibility in daily routines and route scheduling.
  • Adequate time management skills to finish daily meter reads in a timely manner.
  • Excellent communication skills, comfortable interacting with management and customers.
  • Excellent attention to detail for problem-solving and finding.
  • Ability to walk long distances and prepare for weather conditions.
  • Knowledge of general business software and aptitude for learning new applications; proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
