Job Summary

Employment Solutions is seeking a skilled Assembly Specialist to join our team. As an Assembly Specialist, you will play a critical role in the manufacturing process, contributing to the efficient production of goods and ensuring that finished products meet quality standards and customer expectations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Component Assembly: Assemble parts or components according to provided instructions, blueprints, or diagrams, ensuring accuracy and quality standards are met.
  • Tool Operation: Operate hand tools, power tools, and machinery safely and efficiently to assemble products, following proper procedures and safety guidelines.
  • Quality Control: Inspect parts and finished products for defects, irregularities, or damage, and make necessary adjustments or repairs to ensure compliance with quality standards.
  • Problem Solving: Identify and resolve issues or discrepancies in the assembly process, such as missing parts or incorrect specifications, by troubleshooting and communicating with supervisors or colleagues.
  • Workflow Coordination: Coordinate with team members to ensure smooth workflow and timely completion of assembly tasks, collaborating to meet production quotas and deadlines.
  • Documentation: Record production and quality data as required, such as quantities assembled, defect rates, and production times, using paper or electronic forms or systems.
  • Safety Compliance: Adhere to safety regulations and guidelines when handling tools, equipment, and materials, wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and following safety protocols to prevent accidents or injuries.
  • Cleaning and Maintenance: Maintain cleanliness and organization in the work area, including assembly stations, tools, and equipment, and perform routine maintenance tasks to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
Requirements
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience: Previous experience in assembly or manufacturing preferred but not required; on-the-job training may be provided.
  • Skills: Ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately and efficiently, manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination for handling small parts and operating tools, attention to detail and quality, with a focus on producing accurate and defect-free work, ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate with colleagues to achieve common goals, basic math skills for measuring, counting, and performing simple calculations related to assembly tasks.
Working Conditions
  • Work may be performed in a manufacturing or production facility, which may involve exposure to varying temperatures, noise, and machinery.
  • Physical demands include standing for extended periods, lifting and carrying objects, and repetitive motion tasks.
