The New York office of Dechert LLP is a high-profile strategic location, hosting numerous high-profile events. The Office Manager plays a crucial role in overseeing the administrative business services of the office, ensuring exceptional service to clients, lawyers, and professionals. Key responsibilities include managing the team, developing and implementing the office budget, and maintaining Firm policies and practices.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Team Management:
  • Recruit, train, coach, and perform performance management for Legal Team Coordinators, Assistants, Administrative Assistants (LTC, LTA, LTAA), and Reception team members
  • Collaborate with Associate Director of Administration to identify future support requirements and maintain appropriate staffing levels
  • Oversee team assignments and performance through regular meetings, coordination of updates, and monitoring schedules, deadlines, and telephone coverage

Office Management:

  • Develop and manage the office annual budget, reviewing and approving general office-related invoices, and identifying ways to improve operations and reduce costs
  • Manage vendor relationships for the New York mailroom and related services, maintaining positive and effective communication with Site Managers and their teams
  • Propose and implement office-wide policies, practices, and procedures consistent with Firm requirements

The estimated salary for this position in New York is $150,000.00 to $180,000.00 annually.
