Position Overview:
The Clinical Nutrition Expert 3-RDN showcases advanced proficiency in conducting comprehensive nutritional evaluations for both inpatient and outpatient settings. Collaborating effectively with the healthcare team, this role is pivotal in executing nutrition strategies and managing the dietary care of patients. The position involves delivering tailored nutrition education to patients and their families, working alongside dietitians, dietetic technicians, and diet aides to enhance performance metrics.

Key Responsibilities:
 - Provide in-depth nutritional assessments and reassessments.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to implement effective nutrition interventions.
- Offer specialized nutrition education to patients and families.
- Mentor clinical dietitians and healthcare team members to elevate performance standards.
- Conduct educational sessions for clinical staff and dietetic/medical students.
- Serve as a consultant for physicians regarding nutrition-related matters.
- Participate in outpatient group nutrition classes as required.
- Fulfill appointments upon receipt of referrals.
- Perform additional duties as necessary.

Qualifications:
 - Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Nutrition and Dietetics or a related field is essential.
- A minimum of three years of clinical nutrition experience is required, with one year preferred in Pediatrics.
- Experience in diverse specialty clinics is advantageous.

Essential Skills:
 - In-depth knowledge of clinical nutrition within the specialty area.
- Proficient handling and dexterity skills, along with effective writing and speaking abilities.

Competencies:
 - Ability to read, write clearly, and communicate in English (Spanish preferred) at a professional level.
- Proficient in using necessary computer software and troubleshooting office equipment.
- Strong interpersonal skills to communicate positively and effectively with colleagues.
- Capacity to remain composed and courteous under pressure.
- Leadership and collaboration skills to guide and educate others.
- Ability to think critically, work independently, and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in recalling information.
- Capable of distinguishing colors and sounds essential for patient care.

Licensure and Certification Requirements:
 - Certification from the Commission on Dietetic Registration (RD/RDN) is mandatory.
- Board Certified Specialty certification in the relevant area is required.
- CCS Paneling must be obtained within the first year of employment.
