Key Responsibilities:

  • Welcomes visitors to our community recreation facilities.
  • Processes payments for facility access and manages registrations for various programs and activities.
  • Updates and modifies membership details and assists in issuing identification cards.
  • Conducts end-of-shift cash reconciliations and prepares financial reports.
  • Addresses customer inquiries and resolves issues related to facility services and programming.
  • Oversees the maintenance of towel supplies and ensures cleanliness within the facilities.
  • Coordinates with maintenance staff for repairs and upkeep of the premises.
  • Leads and guides Front Desk Attendants in their daily tasks.
  • Manages opening and closing procedures for the facilities.
  • Contributes to process enhancements at the front desk.
  • Assists in conducting audits for the pro shop.
  • Distributes schedules for facility usage and stays informed about staff roles and event programming.
  • Performs duties associated with the Front Desk Attendant role.
  • Completes additional tasks as assigned.
Required Qualifications:

An equivalent combination of education, training, and experience that demonstrates the necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities may be considered.

Education: High School Diploma or GED

Experience: One to two years of experience in a customer service role within a public environment.

Certifications:
  • CPR and First Aid certification required, or the ability to obtain within 30 days.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Familiarity with Parks and Recreation Department policies and procedures.
  • Understanding of community recreation programs and activities.
  • Proficient in delivering customer service and effective communication.
  • Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with patrons and colleagues.
  • Exhibits tact and courtesy in frequent public interactions.
  • Capable of organizing and reviewing work for efficiency and accuracy.
  • Adept at managing multiple tasks while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Competent in operating computer systems and learning specific applications.
  • Basic math skills for processing payments and completing financial reports.
  • Ability to apply independent judgment to resolve issues using relevant policies and procedures.
  • Strong team player.
