Key Responsibilities:
- Welcomes visitors to the Recreation Center, Miller Activity Complex, or Cantril Building.
- Processes payments for facility usage and registers participants for various programs, including childcare and fitness services.
- Adjusts membership types and manages transactions within registration and Point of Sale systems.
- Conducts end-of-shift cash reconciliation, including cash reports for registration and Point of Sale systems.
- Addresses customer inquiries and concerns, providing detailed information about facility operations, programs, and schedules both in person and via phone.
- Oversees towel inventory, ensuring cleanliness and availability.
- Maintains a clean and orderly facility, coordinating with maintenance for repairs and cleaning as needed.
- Supervises Front Desk Attendants, providing guidance and support.
- Manages the opening and closing procedures for the facility.
- Contributes to process enhancements at the front desk.
- Assists with audits related to the Pro shop.
- Generates and distributes facility room schedules, staying informed about staff responsibilities and activity schedules.
- Performs all duties of Front Desk Attendant as required.
- Undertakes additional responsibilities as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
An equivalent combination of education, training, and experience that demonstrates the necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities may be considered.
Education: High School Diploma or GED.
Experience: One to two years of experience in a customer service role within a public environment.
Licenses and Certifications:
- CPR and First Aid certification is required or must be obtained within 30 days.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Familiarity with Parks and Recreation Department policies and procedures.
- Understanding of the Recreation Center's programs and services.
- Proficient in delivering guest services and communicating effectively.
- Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with patrons and colleagues.
- Demonstrates tact and courtesy in public interactions.
- Capable of organizing tasks for optimal efficiency and accuracy.
- Adept at managing multiple tasks while maintaining attention to detail.
- Proficient in basic computer operations and willing to learn specific applications.
- Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations for fee processing and cash reporting.
- Capable of exercising independent judgment in problem-solving.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
All candidates must successfully complete a criminal background check prior to employment.
