Position Overview

The Senior Financial Analyst plays a pivotal role within the Capital Markets division of the Corporate Treasury department. This team is tasked with critical functions such as forecasting and reporting on cash flows, investment strategies, and managing operational exposure related to ACH transactions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the management of the company's debt portfolio, which encompasses term loans, revolving credit facilities, and high-yield bonds.
  • Administer the quarterly and annual debt covenant compliance process, including the preparation of lender reports.
  • Maintain and update financial models while monitoring essential financial ratios to ensure ongoing compliance with loan covenants.
  • Forecast debt service obligations, interest expenses, and cash interest flows.
  • Prepare analyses of quarterly interest expense fluctuations, detailing changes on a quarter-over-quarter and year-over-year basis.
  • Coordinate the processing of interest payments and evaluate various interest rates to optimize the terms of interest period rollover contracts.
  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of the company's Credit Agreements and provide necessary support to management.
  • Offer analytical support during refinancing and similar financial transactions.
  • Foster and maintain positive relationships with lenders and rating agencies.
  • Establish and track KPIs and metrics to assess the overall performance of financial forecasts.
  • Conduct monthly variance analyses to identify discrepancies and trends.
  • Prepare materials for Board and Audit Committee meetings.
  • Monitor key economic indicators related to interest rate movements and conduct research on US and global economic forecasts to inform scenario planning.
  • Transform large datasets into actionable insights for various financial models.
  • Assist in enhancing the analytical capabilities and processes within the Corporate Treasury department, focusing on efficiency improvements and cost reductions through automation.
  • Collaborate with Accounting, Financial Reporting, Treasury Operations, Legal, FP&A, and other departments.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or Economics.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in financial analysis, modeling, and management reporting.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial modeling techniques, including probability, statistics, and data manipulation.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial statements and calculate financial ratios.
  • Effective communication skills, with the ability to prepare and present financial reports and analyses to management.
  • Comprehensive understanding of capital and financial markets, interest rates, and their economic implications.
  • Meticulous attention to detail.
  • Experience in managing debt or credit facilities, ensuring compliance with debt covenants, and navigating complex credit agreements is preferred.
  • Familiarity with forecasting, planning, or reporting systems (such as IBM Cognos TM1 or similar) is advantageous.
  • Experience with data analytics or business intelligence tools (like Power BI or similar) is a plus.
