Position Overview:

The ideal candidate will be a versatile business analyst capable of managing a diverse array of tasks and projects simultaneously. A proactive approach to learning about Capital Markets and a hands-on attitude are essential for the successful delivery of the team's outcomes. The role involves overseeing the integration of new systems, including trading booking systems, product processors, reconciliation systems, and risk management systems. Close collaboration with technology teams is necessary to convert business requirements into actionable solutions based on stakeholder needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and contribute to projects across all stages of the project lifecycle, including Requirements Specification, User Acceptance Testing (UAT), Rollout, and Post-production evaluations.
  • Requirements Specification: Develop, review, and enhance global Business Requirement Documents (BRDs) and Feed Specification Documents to align with project goals.
  • Act as a bridge between Technology and Business Stakeholders, utilizing knowledge of relational databases and large datasets.
  • UAT Testing: Design and implement UAT test plans to verify that business requirements are met, including the creation of test scripts with specific test cases and expected outcomes.
  • UAT Sign-off: Collaborate with users at various organizational levels to guide them through the UAT process and secure sign-off.
  • Rollout and Post-production: Serve as the primary contact for Technology partners, contributing to successful project rollouts and post-production evaluations.
  • Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation, including BRDs, mapping specifications, user stories, and RAID logs.
  • Develop expertise in ALPS reporting and workflow platforms to provide training and support to end users.
  • Identify inefficiencies and implement process improvements to foster continuous enhancement.
  • Utilize standard processes, design, and testing tools throughout the project development lifecycle.
  • Engage with Operations, IT, Internal Audit, and Line Control at a senior level as a representative.
  • Demonstrate excellent presentation and communication skills with meticulous attention to detail to facilitate informed decision-making.

Required Qualifications:

  • At least 5 years of experience as a Business Analyst or in Investment Banking Operations or IT, with a focus on operational risk and control preferred.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Exceptional verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Proven ability to collaborate with regional and global stakeholders to achieve program objectives and provide status updates.
  • Familiarity with Capital Markets Operations is advantageous.
  • Comfortable analyzing data from various source systems and large datasets.
  • Experience facilitating global calls and managing diverse stakeholders.
  • Proven track record of building consensus and collaborating effectively within teams.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, including advanced functions for data manipulation and analysis.
  • Effective use of Word and PowerPoint for project documentation and presentations.
  • Knowledge of data warehousing and experience with MicroStrategy is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with JIRA and experience with QlikView or Tableau is a plus.
  • Project Management experience across all phases of the project lifecycle, with knowledge of SCRUM and Six Sigma methodologies.
  • SQL knowledge is beneficial.
