Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the Loan Review Committee (LRC) by organizing meeting agendas, conducting pre-flights, participating in live voting, documenting conditions, and maintaining accurate meeting minutes.
  • Facilitate monthly reviews of loan guidelines and underwriting policies while tracking industry trends.
  • Document and disseminate meeting notes via the company intranet, develop tools for trend analysis, and conduct regular reviews of loan guidelines and underwriting policies.
  • Manage and communicate updates regarding loan guidelines and underwriting policies, ensuring compliance and facilitating training related to these policies.
  • Act as the primary contact for the LRC by reviewing requests and exceptions, ensuring resolutions, and collaborating with Credit Officers and Underwriting Managers to address issues as necessary.
  • Identify and communicate aging deals and conditions within the pipeline.
  • Field initial requests for review and exceptions from Treasury & Servicing, resolving based on original LRC approvals or redirecting to Credit Officers & Underwriting Managers as needed.
  • Serve as a liaison for Underwriting/Credit, Servicing, and Treasury teams, providing guidance and input on process implementation and system enhancements.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Real Estate, or a related discipline.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in commercial underwriting, particularly in Construction, demonstrating a progressive increase in responsibilities.
  • Comprehensive understanding of commercial lending practices, financial analysis, and risk assessment.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven ability to produce high-quality work with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Capacity to work independently as well as collaboratively within a cross-functional team.
  • Experience that encompasses both legal and business considerations relevant to the industry.
  • Process-oriented mindset with a commitment to identifying, developing, and implementing efficiencies and improvements.
