ROLE SUMMARY:

The Corrugated Production Lead is tasked with managing all personnel assigned to the department, ensuring the production of high-quality corrugated board in a safe, efficient manner while minimizing waste. Additionally, this role involves cross-training team members in essential functions.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Uphold quality, efficiency, and production targets established by management, effectively communicating these expectations to your team.
  • Address quality issues promptly with the Corrugator and Plant Superintendent.
  • Assist in setting quality benchmarks and guidelines.
  • Foster a positive work environment by demonstrating fairness, consistency, and a genuine concern for employee welfare.
  • Maintain confidentiality regarding sensitive information.
  • Oversee inventories of roll stock and corrugator materials.
  • Collaborate with management and maintenance teams on repairs and preventive maintenance within the department.
  • Keep upper management informed of any challenges or situations that may impact departmental performance.
  • Implement corrective action procedures as necessary and conduct discussions with employees regarding violations.
  • Lead weekly Production and Safety meetings with departmental staff.
  • Facilitate communication with necessary supervisory personnel to prevent issues during shift transitions.
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures, with the potential for expanded duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Prior experience in the corrugated industry is highly preferred.
  • A minimum of two years of supervisory experience is necessary.
  • Proficiency in operating the Corrugator is essential.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and issues simultaneously.
