About the Role

We are seeking a seasoned Product Line Director to join our team at Curtiss-Wright's Defense Solutions division. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for driving the commercial success of our product lines, overseeing them from inception to sunset.

Key Responsibilities
  • Commercial Strategy Development: Develop and implement strategies for existing and new products, preparing business cases that include Return On Investment (ROI), pricing, profit margins, forecasts for bookings, revenue, and design wins.
  • Market Analysis: Conduct market research to understand target market needs, solution gaps, and requirements, delivering market, customer, and product requirements to engineering/product development teams.
  • Product Roadmap Development: Collaborate with Engineering leads and CTOs to determine technical solutions to emerging market needs, including feature sets, technical specifications, Design to Cost targets, pricing, Time to Market, and related activities.
  • Product Line Management: Oversee the product development process to ensure that Time to Market, Design to Cost, development cost, and ROI are maintained throughout the development phase.
  • Partner Development: Seek out and develop partner relationships to increase the value proposition of both your products and the overall solution for Curtiss-Wright.
  • Proposal Development: Provide technical and marketing input on proposal responses, analyzing customer requirements and developing comprehensive product introduction plans.
  • Subject Matter Expertise: Provide prospects and customers with product line subject matter expertise via Sales, supporting Marketing content creation and product line positioning.
Requirements
  • Relevant Experience: A minimum of 7 years relevant experience in Product, Program, and/or Engineering Management, or Product Marketing.
  • Education: A relevant Hardware/Software Engineering Degree, or equivalent experience, and a relevant business degree, or equivalent experience.
  • US Citizenship: US citizenship and be resident in the US.
  • Security Clearance: US security clearance or the ability to obtain and maintain security clearance to Secret level within 24 months.
  • Technical Knowledge: A detailed knowledge of our technology, system architecture, hardware, software, and related support requirements within the Defense and Aerospace markets.
  • Business Acumen: Strong business acumen and a keen understanding of the business implications to technical decisions.
  • Communication Skills: Ability to establish genuine and strong relationships with customers, sales, and co-workers to strengthen business ties.
Preferred Skills
  • Business Analytical Tools: Experience with business analytical tools such as Microsoft Power BI.
  • Travel: Must be willing to travel frequently both domestically and overseas in support of customers, sales, and business development.
