Position Overview:
As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for the fabrication of our specialized products, which includes both mechanical and electrical assembly, thorough system testing, inventory oversight, and product upkeep. You will also collaborate with our engineering team on the design, construction, and evaluation of research and development systems for future innovations and prototypes for various clients.

Essential Skills:
Proficiency in mechanical and electrical systems is crucial. A solid understanding of computer systems and software applications is necessary. Your role will involve assembling intricate mechanical systems, wiring ESD-sensitive electronics, and conducting tests on various instruments and components. Familiarity with manual assembly techniques, soldering, basic electronic board rework, connector crimping, and electrical testing is essential. Knowledge of programming languages is advantageous but not mandatory.

Team Dynamics:
Given the compact nature of our workforce, this position demands a high degree of independence, clear communication skills, and excellent organizational abilities.

Work Environment:
This is a full-time role that requires physical presence; remote work is not an option.

eXaminart LLC is a dedicated enterprise specializing in the production of high-precision analytical X-ray instruments and the development of planetary exploration tools for NASA.

Qualifications:
  • At least 5 years of experience in a manufacturing or research and development setting.
  • Proficient in using hand tools for mechanical assembly.
  • Experienced with electrical testing equipment.
  • Familiar with word processing, spreadsheet software, and other standard computer applications.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Ability to interpret mechanical drawings and electrical schematics.
  • Skilled in multitasking and managing various projects simultaneously.
  • Capable of traveling to local suppliers for parts procurement and maintaining effective communication with vendors.
  • Good command of English; knowledge of additional languages is a plus.
  • A degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering is preferred.
  • Experience in the aerospace sector is an advantage.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Construct our commercial products, which include complex small-scale electrical and mechanical systems.
  • Oversee daily production activities to ensure timely product delivery.
  • Maintain an organized inventory of components and collaborate with purchasing personnel.
  • Assist engineers in the assembly and testing of prototypes.
  • Provide consistent and clear feedback to lead engineers.
  • Keep the work area well-organized.
  • Contribute to documentation efforts.
Physical Requirements:
  • Perform tasks on a computer.
  • Engage in electronics and mechanical workbench activities.
  • Execute high-precision manual tasks requiring excellent hand-eye coordination and acute vision.
  • Ability to stand, walk, reach, or work above shoulder height.
