Electrical Maintenance Technician III

Lovelace Biomedical Research Institute is seeking an experienced Electrical Maintenance Technician III to join our Facilities Team.

Job Summary

Under direct supervision, the Electrical Maintenance Technician III will be responsible for monitoring HVAC controls, pneumatic control, performing electrical duties as required, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, HAVC repairs and repairing central plant equipment.

Responsibilities
  • Monitor and maintain HVAC controls and pneumatic control systems
  • Perform electrical duties as required, including troubleshooting and repairing electrical equipment
  • Conduct preventive maintenance on equipment and systems
  • Troubleshoot and repair HAVC systems and central plant equipment
  • Assist with plumbing and other related duties as required
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent and 4+ years of directly-related maintenance experience
  • Prior documented experience working with supply and exhaust fans, pumps, evaporative coolers, air filtration systems, electrical and blueprints experience is strongly preferred
  • New Mexico license or a reciprocal state EE-98J is required
Physical Requirements

The work is performed in a variety of settings, including office and laboratory environments, as well as in outdoor areas. The individual will frequently stand, walk, sit, kneel, crawl, climb (ladders, scaffolds, etc.), reach/work overhead, frequently lift/carry/push/pull heavy objects that weigh up to 50 pounds and perform desk-based computer tasks.
