Diesel Fleet Technician III

Job Summary:

Sysco is seeking a skilled Diesel Fleet Technician III to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and reliable operation of our fleet of vehicles.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on diesel engines, transmissions, and other vehicle systems.
  • Conduct inspections and diagnose issues with vehicles and equipment.
  • Perform preventive maintenance tasks, such as oil changes and tire rotations.
  • Repair and replace damaged or worn-out parts, including brakes, suspension, and electrical systems.
  • Work with other technicians to complete complex repairs and maintenance tasks.
  • Maintain accurate records of work performed and parts used.
  • Collaborate with management to prioritize maintenance tasks and optimize fleet performance.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 2-year school and 4 years of experience OR 5 years of experience in fleet maintenance and repair.
  • Current and valid driver's license (CDL Preferred, Not Required).
  • ASE certifications & Automotive or Medium/Heavy Duty Trucks.
  • EPA section 608 (Core & Type II) and 609 HVAC & Refrigeration Certification.

Working Conditions:

  • Work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with frequent deadlines.
  • Occasionally work in confined spaces and at heights.
  • Exposure to loud noises, fumes, and extreme temperatures.
  • May be required to travel to other locations for training or business purposes.
