Position Overview

Part-Time Opportunity

Schedule: 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM on 4 rotating weekdays

Role Summary:

The Respiratory Therapist II is responsible for delivering comprehensive pulmonary rehabilitation services, facilitating smoking cessation programs, and collaborating on respiratory home care initiatives. This role serves as a vital resource for interdisciplinary teams as required.

Educational Requirements:

Associate's degree in a relevant field is mandatory.

Licensure and Certification:

  • Registered Respiratory Therapist credential from the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC)
  • BLS certification is essential
  • Connecticut State Licensure as a Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) is required

Experience:

A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience is expected.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related discipline
  • Completion of a Pulmonary Rehabilitation Certificate Course endorsed by the AARC
  • Ongoing maintenance of NBRC Registered Respiratory Therapist credential
  • Continued compliance with RCP licensure in Connecticut

Compensation: $45.00 per hour
