Pulmonary Function Technician Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Pulmonary Function Technician to join our team at Nuvance Health. As a Pulmonary Function Technician, you will be responsible for performing tests, maintaining equipment, and ensuring the quality of our pulmonary function testing services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform pulmonary function tests, including spirometry and lung volume measurements
- Maintain and calibrate equipment to ensure accurate test results
- Develop and implement policies and procedures for pulmonary function testing
- Provide technical support to other departments, including Cardiology and GI
- Assist with emergency equipment inventory and supply management
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in a related field preferred
- 1-2 years of experience in pulmonary function testing or a related field
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
